The Dance of Democracy

Lost the game, lost the race,
But don't you worry, keep a smile on your face,
The election’s done, time to move on,
Democracy's a game of numbers, not a con.

Take it as fate, let it be,
Understand that we all must see,
Sometimes we win, sometimes we lose,
But we must always pay our dues.

Let the elected ones settle in,
Concentrate on making our state win,
If you truly care, step aside,
Give them the chance to turn the tide.

Take it as fate, let it be,
Understand that we all must see,
Sometimes we win, sometimes we lose,
But we must always pay our dues.

You reap what you sow, remember this well,
Insecurity, poverty, and unemployment, all fell,
Had you tackled them with all your might,
You'd have been voted in again, bright and tight.

Take it as fate, let it be,
Understand that we all must see,
Sometimes we win, sometimes we lose,
But we must always pay our dues.

So don't you fret, don't you weep,
A new day will come, it's not too steep,
    Democracy's a game of chance,
Just keep your head up, and start a new dance.
