Where are the teachers of the English language?

Where and when to use these three verbs?

    1) Deputy

    2) Vice

    3) Assistant

A- I don't know why we have Vice President and Vice Chairman but we have Deputy Governor.

B- Similarly in the Police force, we have Deputy Inspector General (DIG) and Assistant Inspector General (AIG) but no Vice Inspector General.

C- Again in schools, we have Vice Principals and Assistant Head Masters, but no Deputy principal or Deputy headmaster.

D- Also in some ranks, Deputy Director and Assistant Director but no Vice Director.

E- Furthermore we have Deputy Vice Chancellor but no Assistant Vice Chancellor or Vice Vice-Chancellor.

F- Please give us light on how these happen in English, which is not so in the Hausa language where we have only Mataimaki for all these categories mentioned.
