Some Selected Hadiths of the Prophet (SAW) for Friday Greetings

    These are some sayings of the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) that have been designed on special images to be sent as Friday greetings. This is a great way to remind and connect with family and friends.

    When the Messenger of Allah (ï·º) saw rain, he would say: "ALLAHUMMA SAYYIBAN NAFI-AN" 
    Meaning: "O Allah, a beneficial downpour.” (Sahih Al-Bukhari: 1032, In-book: Book 15, Hadith 27)

    The Prophet (ï·º) sent Muadh to Yemen and said: "Be afraid, from the curse of the oppressed as there is no screen between his invocation and Allah."

    The Prophet (SAW) said: "Whoever honestly asks Allah for martyrdom, Allah will give him the status of a martyr even if he dies in his bed.”

    The Prophet (ï·º) said: "Isn't he who raises his head before the imam afraid that Allah may transform his head into that of a donkey or his figure (face) into that of a donkey?"

    Abu Hurairah رضي الله عنه said: “My friend (the Prophet ï·º) advised me to do three things and I shall not leave them till I die, these are: To fast three days every month, to offer the Duha prayer, and to offer witr before sleeping.”

    Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: "A rider should greet a pedestrian; a pedestrian should greet one who is sitting; and a small group should greet a large group (of people).'' (Al-Bukhari: 6233].
    The narration in Al-Bukhari adds: Messenger of Allah (ï·º) said: "The young should greet the elderly.''

    The Prophet (SAW) said: "There are three (types of) people to whom Allah will not speak on the Day of Resurrection, nor will He purify them, nor look at them, and they will have a painful punishment. These are: An aged man who commits Zina (illicit sexual act), a ruler who lies, and a proud poor person." (Muslim: 107)

    The Prophet (SAW) said: "While a man was on the way, he found a thorny branch of a tree there on the way and removed it. Allah thanked him for that deed and forgave him."

    Narrated Abu Hurairah (RA): Allah's Messenger (ï·º) said: "When it is hot, delay the (Zuhr) prayer till it cools down, for the intensity of heat is from the exhalation of Hell."

    The Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: "The example of a believer is that of a fresh tender plant; from whatever direction the wind comes, it bends it, but when the wind becomes quiet, it becomes straight again. Similarly, a believer is afflicted with calamities (but he remains patient till Allah removes his difficulties.) And an impious wicked person is like a pine tree which keeps hard and straight till Allah cuts (breaks) it down when He wishes." (Sahih al-Bukhari: 5644)

    Allah's Messenger (ï·º) said: "Our Lord, the Blessed, the Superior, comes every night down on the nearest Heaven to us when the last third of the night remains, saying: "Is there anyone to invoke Me, so that I may respond to invocation? Is there anyone to ask Me, so that I may grant him his request? Is there anyone seeking My forgiveness, so that I may forgive him?"

    Narrated Abu Sa`id Al-Khudri: "A cloud came and it rained till the roof started leaking and in those days the roof used to be of the branches of date-palms. Iqama was pronounced and I saw Allah's Messenger (ï·º)s prostrating in water and mud and even I saw the mark of mud on his forehead."

    The Prophet (SAW) said: “There are no days greater and more beloved to Allah than these ten days of Dhul Hijjah, so increase in them your declaration of the oneness of Allah, your exaltation of Him, and your praise of Him.”

    The Prophet (SAW) said: You see the believers as regards their being merciful among themselves and showing love among themselves and being kind, resembling one body, so that, if any part of the body is not well then the whole body shares the sleeplessness (insomnia) and fever with it."
